The FixupXer Android app
FixupXer cleans URLs and rewrites supported social links locally. It has no network permission and does not send URLs to FixupXer servers. The app does not include telemetry or analytics.
Some app data remains on your device. Settings and custom rules are stored locally. Optional History is enabled by default. When it is on, entries may contain the original and processed URL. If Private Link Guard detects a sensitive value, the original URL is never saved: when processing removes all detected sensitive data, History may keep only the cleaned result with a redacted-input marker; if sensitive data remains, the URL is not saved. You can turn History off, delete individual entries, or clear it. The guard recognizes only a limited set of clues and cannot find every private value.
FixupXer does not upload or synchronize your settings, rules, or History. Android may include preferences in its own backup or device transfer according to your device and account settings; the app database containing History and rules is excluded from Android’s automatic backup. A manual settings backup is a JSON file you choose where to save. It can contain settings and custom rules, but not URL History.
When you open or share a link
FixupXer itself does not contact the original site or a selected reader or embed frontend. When you choose Open, Share, or another handoff, Android passes the resulting URL to the selected browser, native app, share target, or reader. That recipient may use the network and applies its own privacy practices. A copied URL is placed on Android’s clipboard.
This website
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering the site may involve ordinary technical request data handled by the hosting and security infrastructure. Cloudflare security features may use cookies. Those hosting operations are separate from the Android app’s local URL processing.
This website does not add its own analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies. Following a link to Google Play, F-Droid, GitHub, or another external service takes you to that service, which has its own privacy practices.
